Using TPee
Do I need an account?
No. You can search the map, use filters, see details and get directions without signing in. An account is only needed to add restrooms, write reviews, confirm listings, report problems and save favourites.
How do I sign in?
With Sign in with Apple, Google, or an email address and password. If you use email, confirm your address from the email we send before contributing.
What does I GOTTA GO do?
It ranks the restrooms near you — open now, closest by walking or driving time, and matching the preferences you chose — and takes you straight to directions for the best one.
Why does a restroom say "Not enough ratings yet"?
A score only appears after at least three reviews, so one opinion can't decide it. Until then you'll see the individual reviews.
Why does a restroom say "New · unconfirmed"?
Someone added it recently and nobody else has confirmed it yet. If you've been there, confirm it or write a review. If it's wrong, report it.
Why don't I see location or distances?
TPee needs Location access while you're using the app to show what's near you. Turn it on in Settings › Privacy & Security › Location Services › TPee › While Using the App. You can also search any city, address or place without it.
Contributing
How do I add a restroom?
Tap Add, move the map so the pin is on the entrance, choose the type, and fill in what you know. It goes live right away. Please don't add door or access codes — ask staff is the right answer.
How do TPee Points work?
You earn points for reviews and confirmations, and for restrooms you add once someone else confirms them. Points for contributions that turn out to be wrong or duplicated can be taken back.
How do badges work?
Badges unlock as you add, review, confirm and correct restrooms, and as your TPee Points grow. Profile › Badges shows everything you've earned and your progress toward the rest. Tap an earned badge to wear it on your profile picture, or choose up to three to show on your profile.
A listing is wrong, closed or doesn't exist.
Open it and tap Report. Choose the reason that fits. When several people report the same listing as wrong, it's hidden from the map until a moderator reviews it.
Why hasn't my photo appeared?
Photos from regular contributors go live right away; pull down on the listing to refresh. While you're new (your first few contributions, or an account under three days old), a TPee moderator approves your photos first. A photo that several people report is taken down until a moderator checks it. Photos of people aren't allowed, and location data is removed from every photo before it's uploaded.
Your account
How do I change my username or profile visibility?
Profile › Account › Username, and Profile › Privacy › Profile visibility. Public shows your level, badges, restrooms and reviews on your profile; Limited shows only your username and level; Private hides your profile.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Profile › Delete Account. See Delete your account for what's removed and what to do if you can't sign in.
